At Midwest Capital Group, Erik Thoresen heads up outreach and deal flow activities related to potential investments in high performance computing for government supported initiatives, including data management/storage and other emerging technologies. Erik collaborates closely with startups involved in AI and related technology and is also author of the book Team Next: A Foundation for Building Agile Innovation Teams and recently presented a TEDx talk called What Bananas and Transistors Have in Common.Using data and insights that span industries, Erik will address a huge issue that exists across businesses and organizations - using a story-focused approach to help internal stakeholders gain a better grasp on the importance of AI and how it can be leveraged within the organization. While this topic may deviate significantly from more technically-focused talks, it will be tailored to engage audience members and spur new thinking about executing AI platforms. In lieu of an extended abstract, I have attached a background document on Midwest Capital Group. I would appreciate the opportunity to talk with your team to discuss ways to make the talk highly relevant and important to attendees.
