TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY
Area:
Technologies for improved delivery of supplemental oxygen
Tech Brief: We propose a design of a high flow non-invasive oxygen therapy generation / conditioning system based on: 1. Humidify by the principle of ultrasonic atomization instead of passover heating. 2. Control distal temperature and humidity by combining nasal cannula sensors with robust control algorithms.

Value Proposition: Designing a team that meets these specifications could be very useful in the treatment of IR, delaying or preventing ICU admission to a significant percentage of moderate patients with COVID-19. The GranFlow generator / conditioner could meet the demand needs of patients with moderate COVID-19 and other relevant services for other pathologies not associated with the pandemic, estimating an average of 20 to 30 units/hospital for first and second level hospitals depending on the number of beds. Another benefit of this project is strategic and economic: (1) it will generate specialized productive fabric in our region and potentially worldwide, (2) it will make us exporters instead of importers and (3) it will overcome supply delays and price negotiations and priorities in unprofitable conditions.
