Local production of oxygen concentrators

Technologies for improved delivery of supplemental oxygen
Tech Brief: To bypass the supply chain rupture in extreme situations such as the current pandemic, we developed a do-it-yourself instructional manual to build oxygen concentrators locally. LiX zeolite is an essential but hardly accessible component, but can be obtained by local low-tech synthesis allowing the complete production of oxygen concentrators.
FIGURES OF MERIT Value Proposition: Local manufacturing of oxygen concentrators increases oxygen supply and distribution, even in regions where currently no supplemental oxygen therapies are available. In such areas, future demand will not stagnate, even after COVID-19; oxygen therapies are of major importance in premature births, as well as in other diseases. Local manufacturing also includes knowledge transfer, which plays a pivotal role in maintenance and repair of oxygen delivery systems.
