Tech Brief: Develop a chemisorptive supramolecular material which can reversibly bind O2. The O2 is released by heating to 70°C. On cooling more O2 is extracted from air by the material. This instant sourcing process can be cycled to provide a portable method for concentrating O2 from air to circumvent cylinder storage.
FIGURES OF MERIT Value Proposition: Because this is TRL 1 this is a long-term albeit game changer technology. There are many applications beyond medical e.g. separation of H2 and O2 in hydolysers, removal of trace O2 for O2 free environments, concentrated O2 for ozonators e.g. for water disinfection to aircraft O2 supplies
