Originally hailing from Philadelphia, Peiffer attended The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. His educational credentials also feature an honors bachelor's degree from American Public University and an MBA from George Mason University's School of Business.

Outside the professional arena, this Marine Corps veteran is a CrossFit enthusiast and avid outdoorsman, often seen adventuring with his faithful canine companion, Benji.
