Mr. Ben Roth serves as the Hypersonic Missile Hardware Chief Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, where he leads the development of advanced tactical capabilities and directs high-consequence hypersonic flight testing. Over a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years in complex missile system development, including a decade dedicated specifically to hypersonic applications; he has consistently driven hardware modernization across critical defense portfolios. 

 

A strong advocate for open architecture in defense systems, Mr. Roth has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Test Open System Architecture (TOSA). His work in establishing modular open system approaches (MOSA) directly enables rapid technology insertion, helping to accelerate the maturation, testing, and transition of advanced warfighting capabilities into operational hypersonic programs.
