Rich James is a highly accomplished Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Chief Engineer of PAE Maneuver Air within Engineering & Architecture (E&A). As the Deputy for the Enterprise Platform, Innovation & Conformance Center (EPICC), he collaborates with Project Offices to drive the testing, demonstration, and evaluation of mission-critical products. 

A former Army Signal Officer, Rich brings a wealth of leadership experience from his time as an Engineering Manager for a prime contractor and in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) roles. His notable technical achievements include serving as Lead Engineer for Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) systems and spearheading the development of the Aviation Radio Control Manager (ARCM) software, successfully achieving full FACE 3.1 conformance. Additionally, he served as the Architecture SME for Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and led Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives. 

Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and an MBA in Technology Management.
