Bob Curcio is currently retired, after over 40 years in senior global leadership positions, primarily in energy related businesses. He currently is on several boards, and mentors developing entrepreneurs, including those affiliated through the University of Texas’ ATI (Austin Technology Incubator).
Prior to retiring in 2021, Bob was President & CEO of Tidewater Holdings from 2013 until 2021. (Tidewater is a petroleum terminal, distribution, and tug and barge transportation company in the Northwest US and Canada.) During his leadership, Tidewater grew their Total Enterprise Value of $205MM to over $390MM.
From 2010-2013, Bob was a Senior Vice President at GE Oil & Gas, where he doubled their Subsea Systems business to +$2Bil, executing large EPC contracts for subsea trees, manifolds, connection systems, control systems, flow assurance, subsea power distribution, and subsea processing. To enable local manufactured content in many areas of the world, Bob was responsible for building a portfolio of global manufacturing facilities.
Prior to GE Oil & Gas, Bob was an Exec VP of NATCO Group since May 1998. (NATCO is an oil gas production equipment manufacturing and servicing company, now owned by Schlumberger.) He was responsible for building a portfolio of technologies through identifying and executing technology-focused acquisitions, managing internal research and developments, and third-party licensing. Prior to joining NATCO, Bob spent 19 years at Exxon Corporation and its affiliates, holding positions in marketing, corporate development and M&A, technology, engineering and manufacturing management.
He received undergraduate degrees at the University of Connecticut in Chemical, Nuclear, and Material Sciences Engineering. He completed a Management Professional Training program in Texas at Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management and a similar program in Pennsylvania at Wharton University. At times during his career, Bob was a member of the GPA, SPE, AIChE, and NPRA.
