Sara Peterson is a resilience researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), where her research portfolio focuses on the interconnections between infrastructure systems and human resilience. In this role, Sara has led the development, refinement, and application of resilience metrics quantifying the public safety and security consequences of power outages and infrastructure disruption events. Sara holds a PhD in geography and MS in GIScience from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Geography from Dartmouth College.
