As a physical scientist for the Insights and Analysis team, Ann Kathryn researches the viability and feasibility of potential tech for AAL’s projects, enabling our government partners to make more informed decisions at the critical start of the solution development process.

She received her Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Alabama and MS and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. An accomplished scientist and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, Ann Kathryn has published works on the physics of lownoise III-V avalanche photodetectors.

Ann Kathryn is an avid swimmer on a local team, clocking at least 10 miles per week in the pool. She is also a gardener and talented baker.
