Zero Trust PfMO Deputy Director

DoD Chief Information Officer

Mr. Les Call is the Deputy Director for the Department of Defense (DoD) Zero Trust Portfolio Management Office. He is responsible for implementing the DoD’s Zero Trust Strategy to stop adversarial lateral movement on Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) by the end of fiscal year 2027. Mr. Call has spent the greater part of the past 25 years working with DoD in tactical environments supporting the warfighter. Mr. Call’s experience spans information technology (IT) and information assurance within the Executive Office of the President , DoD, and the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Mr. Call has a proven track record in IT governance, program management, personnel management, policy creation, and complex enterprise architecting and integration. Mr. Call most recently served as Director for IT at the National Security Council. Mr. Call served 12 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army. He possesses a Bachelor of Applied Science in technology management from Troy University and a Master of Science in Management degree in cybersecurity management from Colorado Technical University. In 2021 Mr. Call acquired Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner certifications.
