Andrew Volpendesta is the Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity at Raytheon, an RTX business in Tucson, Arizona, where he leads strategic initiatives across Operations, Supply Chain & Quality to champion the inclusion of small businesses suppliers. He partners with cross-functional teams to design and execute programs that meet subcontracting goals, support dual and second sourcing opportunities, leverage the Indian Incentive Program, and embed small business requirements into emerging business technologies. In addition to advising on bidding and sourcing strategies aligned with small business subcontracting mandates, he cultivates high-potential small business suppliers and evaluates organizational capabilities to close sourcing gaps.
Andrew joined Raytheon in 2018 after six years at Aerojet Rocketdyne, where he held roles in Government Property Compliance, Subcontract Management, and Small Business Programs. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of California, Davis, holds two associate degrees, and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Property Professional Specialist.
His contributions have been recognized with the Small Business Advocate of the Year Award from the Minority and Small Business Alliance of Southern Arizona, and he remains active on committees dedicated to small business advocacy and supplier development.
