Senior Manager, Renewable Energy and Industrial Decarbonization

Abraham currently serves as Senior Manager for Renewable Energy Technologies and Industrial Decarbonization at Sandia National Laboratories. He oversees Sandia’s efforts to develop next-generation Wind, Solar, Marine/Hydro, and Geothermal energy systems, as well as technologies to reduce industrial carbon intensity. Prior to joining the management team, he led multiple research projects on energy systems modeling, analysis and technology development, focusing on grid integration of renewable and distributed resources and microgrids. Many of Abraham’s projects have focused on energy resilience relevant to critical infrastructure with emphasis in rural, remote and islanded communities. He leads Sandia’s Energy Equity and Environmental Justice team. Abraham holds a Ph.D. in Power Systems from the Electric Utility Management Program (EUMP) at New Mexico State University.
