
Liz Jackson is a Managing Attorney in Trademarks at the
United States Patent and Trademark Office. She supervises twenty-six
trademark examining attorneys and one supervisory senior attorney. Ms.
Jackson is responsible for ensuring that her organizational unit meets agency
goals for processing trademark applications in a timely manner and for
producing a high-quality work product. She is also the co-lead of Trademarks’
recruitment committee.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Jackson worked as a
trademark examining attorney where she reviewed thousands of applications for
federal trademark registration, and then as a supervisory senior attorney,
where she trained and mentored new trademark examining attorneys. She also
worked as a senior advisor to Trademarks executive leadership.
Ms. Jackson received her J.D. from American University’s
Washington College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt
University. She is an active member in good standing of the Virginia
state bar, as well as a graduate of the Partnership in Public Service’s
Excellence in Government fellowship program.
