Dr. Bahareh Haji-saeed is the Technology Scouting Director at BAE Systems, FAST Labs. One of FAST Labs thrusts, the Tech Scouting role requires the tech scouts to discover technology outside of BAE Systems that has potential for integration with FAST Labs technology development.
Bahareh with over 20 years of defense and aerospace experience, prior to joining BAE systems, was a Government Civilian serving United States Air Force (USAF) at Hanscom Air Force Base for several years: She began her career by serving as a research scientist at Air Force Research Lab (AFRL); later she took a role as the chief engineer for the Irregular Warfare (IW)/IED Defeat Program Office, directly working with Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO); and at her last position prior to joining BAE Systems, she was the chief engineer (GS-14) for Quick Reaction Capability (QRC)/ Tactical Data Network (TDN) Laboratory providing C4ISR expertise and equipment to US and international defense customers.
Bahareh received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Massachusetts Lowell, specializing in Adaptive Optics and Nonlinear Optical Image processing.
