Rachel Reichenberger is a Software Developer for the National and Homeland Security organization at Idaho National Laboratory. Her responsibilities focus on user experience for applications supporting Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience division.

Rachel’s professional interests include using innovative methods to combine aesthetically pleasing and functional design to create easy to use software. Her experience includes software design and full stack development that supports modeling and simulation projects for critical infrastructure. She specializes in user experience design and research to ensure outcomes are meeting customer needs.

The Maritime Domain Awareness Tool (M-DAT) is an application Rachel co-founded which provides a modeling and simulation environment for maritime emergencies. In addition, she has worked on the All Hazards Analysis (AHA) Framework since 2020; supporting an infrastructure dependency analysis platform to assess impacts of critical infrastructure disruptions.

Her educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Modern Languages, a graduate certificate in Public Administration from Kansas State University as well as an associate degree in Web Development from the College of Eastern Idaho.
