U.S. Navy

For the past twelve years, Lawrence (Larry) Dressman has served as a technology manager within PEO IWS, one of the largest, non-shipbuilding program acquisition offices in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). As the IWS2 Technology APM, Dr. Dressman works with Navy program managers, the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Naval Research Laboratory, NAVSEA Warfare Centers, and Prime Contractors to identify, prioritize, and fund the maturation of new technologies for Navy Surface Radar, Electronic Warfare, and Countermeasures systems. When not serving as evaluator or TPOC, he coaches and guides new evaluators and TPOCs and works with Program Officers at ONR on SBIR/STTR projects of joint interest. Dr. Dressman has over 35 years with NAVSEA. His core background is microwave engineering, high power transmitters, and vacuum electronics.
