Mr. Matthew Sigstad is Chief, Operational Energy Logistics Analysis and Wargaming Policy, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, Safety and Occupational Health Washington, D.C. Mr. Sigstad leads and directs operational energy logistics analysis and wargames focused on sortie production and sustainment for Air Force air, ground, and space launch systems.
Mr. Sigstad enlisted in the Air Force as a Fuels Specialist in 1991 and served 29+ years within the Fuels Career Field. He has held a broad range of assignments at the Air Force base level, Numbered Air Force, Major Command, and Air Staff. He also served as the Pacific Command Joint Petroleum Office Fuels Manager.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Sigstad served as the Air Force Fuels Career Field Manager providing direction and guidance to organize, train, and equip 4,200 Active Duty, Air Guard, and Reserve personnel. Mr. Sigstad is an internationally recognized fuels expert with a wealth of knowledge and operational experience planning, coordinating, and executing joint force fuels operations.
