SBA DC District Office Representative

Nirav “Nick” Rajpara is an Economic Development Specialist at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Washington D.C. Area Metro Office (WMADO).  In this role, he collaborates with regional: Small Business stakeholders (public and private), economic development organizations, local lenders, and other collaborators to develop, bolster and support informational initiatives which aid and assist small business and entrepreneurs across the national capital region. 

 In addition, Nick is the Point of Contact (POC) for SBA’s new Made in America – Domestic Manufacturing Initiative. He is also the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Project Officer, for his SBA field office.  In this capacity he oversees and collaborates with local SBDC networks in the Washington, DC metro area.  Additionally, he serves as Veterans Business Development Officer for the Mid-Atlantic region’s Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC), as well as Liaison for the Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE).  In these roles he initiates collaboration and compliance with these SBA Resource Partners.

Prior to joining the SBA, Nick served as a Small Business Counselor at the DC-Small Business Development Center at Howard University.  He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from Pepperdine University.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Riverside.
