Dr. Wang joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) in February 2020 as an Environment, Safety, and Health specialist. In February 2024 she took up her current role as Contract Manager for the SBIR program. She is responsible for oversight and resolving any contract related issues facing the SBIR program. She brings over 20 years of experience in biomedical research on human disease, two years of contract expertise as COR, as well as business knowledge in Security Technology Transition from her MBA degree.
Dr. Wang joined the federal service in 2016 and worked as an industrial hygienist for Veterans Affairs, Navy, and DHS after completing her graduate work on hepatic drug transporter. In this capacity she assessed and monitored chemical, physical and other occupational hazards found in industrialized work processes to office spaces for compliance with federal, state and local environmental and occupational safety regulations.
Dr. Wang received her MBA in 2024 from George Washington University, her PhD in 2015 and Masters in 2009 for Anatomy and Structural Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in biochemistry and economics from Wellesley College in 2003.
