
Jolie Stepnowski joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) team as the Operations Manager in 2019 after eleven of years of providing contractor support to various areas of the Department of Defense (DoD) SBIR program.
Jolie provided program support to the Navy’s Strategic Systems Program (SSP) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, she supported the Director for the DoD Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) SBIR Program which provides oversight and direction to the DoD SBIR Program, encompassing thirteen components including Army, Navy and Air Force. While at DoD, she was a contributor to the Commercialization working group. Jolie’s first introduction into the SBIR program was supporting the Department of the Army SBIR office, where she spent 5 years as the solicitation and source selection lead.
