Moji Karimi is the co-founder and CEO of Cemvita, an industrial biotechnology company building a BioSolutions Discovery and Deployment platform for the natural-resource industries.
A petroleum engineer, Moji has spent nearly a decade advancing biological solutions from early discovery through scale-up and commercial deployment. Under his leadership, Cemvita has developed technologies that use biology to transform waste carbon and industrial byproducts into valuable products, while launching companies including Endolith and Eclipse Energy to commercialize applications in mining and energy.
Cemvita’s next chapter combines artificial intelligence, biological data, techno-economic modeling, and deployment expertise to dramatically accelerate how new industrial BioSolutions are discovered, validated, scaled, and integrated into existing infrastructure.
Moji believes biology will become as fundamental to industry as chemistry and physics, but only when biological innovation is designed around operating realities, economics, and deployment from the beginning. His work focuses on closing that gap and helping build the infrastructure required for the bioeconomy to scale.
