Veronica
Breckenridge is a seasoned tech executive and venture capitalist who
specializes in the commercialization of deep tech and industrial
biomanufacturing. Over a nearly two-decade corporate operating career, she held
senior-level leadership roles scaling operations, infrastructure, and sales for
global giants like Apple, Tesla, and Motorola, and was an Associate Principal
at McKinsey & Company. Transitioning to venture capital in 2015, she
crafted partnership with AngelList and founded CSC Upshot Fund which ranked top
fund for Unicorn per AUM globally by Stanford Business School. In 2022, she
relocated to Houston, Texas and launched First Bight Ventures, an early-stage
venture capital firm dedicated to the "Century of Biology." Through
First Bight, she focuses on bridging the gap between lab-scale innovation and
commercial reality by backing startups that replace petroleum-based processes
with sustainable, bio-based alternatives for global chemical and materials
