Erika M. Milczek, PhD, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Curie Co, an industrial biotech company based in Research Triangle park, North Carolina. Curie Co creates new ingredients to strengthen, preserve, and elevate consumer products for a more sustainable and resilient future. Targeting legacy chemicals banned by regulators around the globe, Curie Co develops ecofriendly solutions that offer robust, sustainable replacements for legacy chemicals without sacrificing performance for food & beverage, cosmetics, cleaning, and textiles & leather.
Before founding Curie Co, Erika worked in the pharmaceutical industry, at Merck & Co, as a process chemist and enzyme engineer where she replaced chemical manufacturing processes with enzymatic routes for commercial drug synthesis. Erika holds a PhD in Chemistry from Emory University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Chemistry Department at Princeton University.
