Andras Forgacs

Founding & Managing Partner

Inceptional Partners

Andras is Founder and Managing Partner of Inceptional Partners, an early-stage venture firm backing critical technologies at critical inflection points. Inceptional invests in science-driven companies at moments when price and value diverge: before consensus forms around a breakthrough, and after the reset, when de-risked platforms require experienced capital, restructuring, and company-building support.

Andras has spent more than two decades building, backing, and governing frontier technology and life sciences companies, with particular depth in the bioeconomy, biomaterials, cellular agriculture, and synthetic biology. He was previously Managing Partner at Starlight Ventures, where he backed founders applying breakthrough science to large-scale challenges across energy, climate, biology, materials, space, and advanced computing.

As an entrepreneur, Andras was founding CEO of Modern Meadow, a biomaterials and bioactive ingredients company named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. He is also co-founder and chair of Fork & Good, a cellular agriculture company producing meat without animals, and co-founded Organovo, a pioneer in 3D bioprinting of human tissue that became publicly listed on NASDAQ.

Earlier in his career, Andras worked in investment banking at Citigroup, strategy consulting at McKinsey, and venture investing at Richmond Global, where he served as Managing Director while co-founding Organovo. He is a Kauffman Fellow, co-founder and former chair of the Resolution Project, and was named to Crain’s New York 40 Under 40. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Wharton School.
