Michael Cope is an Aerospace Engineer at the Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, MD. Working in the Patrol and Rotary Wing Strength branch of Air Vehicle Engineering, he is responsible for providing structural engineering in support of Naval acquisition and in-service airframe airworthiness certification. He also supports new technology development through several Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) projects in structural health monitoring (SHM) and aircraft/maintenance tracking. His interests focus on SHM, additive manufacturing, and durability and damage tolerance methodologies.
