Chief Master Sergeant Jeffrey T. Richards is the Common Support Equipment (CSE) Manager, Wright Patterson AFB,Ohio. He is responsible to the commander on a wide rangeof issues including the lifecycle management of aircraft support equipment across all MAJCOMS. AFMC CSE overseas over 44,000 NSN's spread across 8 functional working groups . In addition, CSE also works with the industry partners, Air National Guard, and Headquarters USAF in developing procurement strategies for the future.

CMSgt Richards was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and graduated from Parkland High School in 1987. H e started his career as a KC-135R Guidance and Control technician, then moved to KC-10A where he performed duties as a Flying Crew Chief. Following his tanker era he moved to the B2 and B52 bombers in the then new Air Force Global Strike Command. He then served as the Group Maintenance Superintendent of the 53 Test and Evaluation Group, where he was responsible to the commanderon a wide range of issues including the health, morale, welfare,professional development and discipline of more than 600 group enlisted personnel across 13 different aircraft series. He has served in key leadership positions across a broad spectrum of tactical, operational and strategical positions with total force and joint service partnership experience. He has deployed numerous times in support of Operations RestoreHope , Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Desert Fox, Deny Flight and Enduring Freedom. Before assuming his current position, he served as the Functional Area Manager for over 66,000 aircraft maintenance personnel at Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon.
