A graduate of Cornell Engineering with Bachelors and Masters degrees, Elana Duffy (Lana) worked in engineering before enlisting for active duty in the US Army as a human intelligence operator, investigator, and interrogator. After roadside bomb in Iraq led to a Purple Heart and, eventually, military retirement she returned to her home in NYC. While volunteering for local, national, and international organizations she assisted in the creation of a non-profit as well as a successful for-profit firm. She is currently founder and CEO of online platform Pathfinder.vet using AI and applied psychology research to help Veterans and families discover their best fit to support resources in their local communities through crowd-sourced reviews while providing tools to organizations and donors looking to increase their impact on the Veteran landscape. She is also an avid mountain and rock climber, Veteran and social change advocate, and the food-provider to two old but very friendly cats.
