Scott Ferguson has nearly 25 years in the field of electrochemical power and energy storage systems. He has spent the majority of his career at Saft America’s Space and Defense Center in Maryland in the field of lithium ion cells and batteries. He started as a Research Engineer at the beginning phases of lithium ion cell development at Saft and the start of Saft’s R&D center in the United States. He has held multiple roles from electrochemical cell design to process and manufacturing engineering to project management. He is presently the Director of Cell Engineering at Saft Space and Defense and Global Product Manager for the Xcelion line of 6T batteries. He holds a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
