Alex Feild is a S&T Field Advisor for the DoD Technical Information Center Information Analysis Centers and Chief Scientist for Compass Point. His current work focuses on artificial intelligence safety. He was previously the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Lead for the largest science and technology group at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. His role as a principal investigator was to formulate and execute research in the areas of human factors and artificial intelligence. As a thrust lead he recruited, trained, and guided scientist and engineers in state-of-the-art research for the Human Systems Research and Development group. He earned his Master of Engineering in Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization Engineering for Old Dominion University in 2018 and his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010.
