Fei Ding is a distinguished member of research staff and group manager of grid automation and controls group at NREL. She leads a group of researchers focusing on developing advanced models, controls and evaluation platforms to modernize the grid and improve real-time T&D grid operations. Her research interests include renewable energy grid integration, distributed energy resources aggregation and controls, and grid resilience and security. She is leading multiple projects at NREL on developing distributed energy resource management solutions to enhance grid flexibility, reliability and resilience.
