Dr. David Riley is the President of Living Systems, LLC and a former faculty member at the University of Washington and the Penn State Department of Architectural Engineering. His fields of expertise include sustainable building techniques, building energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, energy storage, and smart grid systems. Dr. Riley has been working with Native Communities since 1998 on projects related to sustainable buildings, energy, and renewable energy development. He is currently working with Indigenized Energy Initiative on the the design and implementation of renewable energy and resiliency strategies for multiple native communities including the Northern Cheyenne, MHA Nation, and Menominee Nation.
