Nanostructures for Probing and Transfecting Living Cells

Christelle Prinz

Professor
Lund University, Sweden

Christelle Prinz's research group uses semiconductor nanowires as a model system to investigate the interactions between nanomaterials and living matter on the cellular and organism level. The goal is to obtain fundamental understanding of the effect of specific nanomaterial properties on biological matter by controlling the dimensions, coating and/or the spatial arrangement of the nanowires. hristelle obtained her Ph.D. in polymer physics from Strasbourg University in 1999. From 2000 to 2003 she was a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Robert Austin at Princeton University, subsequent to which she came to Lund.
