After studying Nanotechnology and Physics at the University of Würzburg, Peter received his PhD in Physics from RWTH Aachen University in 2018. In the same year, he participated in the Quantum Futur competition of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and was awarded a research start-up grant. Since then, he has been leading the topological quantum computing group at the Peter-Grünberg Institute in Forschungszentrum Jülich.
