Quantum Engineer
IQM Finland Oy, Finland

I was born in rural part of Finland in 1987. I got an engineering degree in information technology from Tampere polytechnic university in 2012. Right after this I enrolled in University of Helsinki to study theoretical physics. In 2015 I joined Quantum Computing and Devices group lead by Prof. Mikko Möttönen. There I did my Bachelors, Masters, and PhD theses in the field of superconducting electronics. Topic of my PhD thesis was Bolometric techniques for quantum electrodynamics. After graduating in 2020, I joined a small startup called IQM, whose ambitious goal is to build quantum computers.
