Martina Bauer works as Innovation Manager and Technology Liasion Manager in the Technology Transfer Unit at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany, since 2016. She is responsible for various activities in the staff unit, focusing on TT management: technology screening, assessment, validation and marketing, as well as collaboration with industry and communication.
Since GSI took over the network chair of HEPTech in 2018, she is responsible for the overall coordination and management of all network activities as HEPTech Network Coordinator.
From 2013 to 2015, she worked as a technology scout for the technology transfer of Heidelberg University Hospital and in the local start-up network.
She completed her degree in biology at the Technical University of Darmstadt, followed by a doctorate at the University Medical Center Mainz in the Institute of Toxicology in the field of cancer research.
