Bruce Hatton

Bruce Hatton is the Vice President of Open Architecture for RTX Technology & Global Engineering (T&GE).  In this role, he is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the RTX corporate strategy for Open Architecture, including alignment with US DoD MOSA mandates. His technical background is in software development and system integration with extensive domain experience in Air/Missile Defense and Command & Control applications.

Prior to his current role, Hatton was on special assignment at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he provided executive leadership for site integration and test of GPS/OCX.  Other roles included VP, Common Engineering and VP, Software Engineering for Raytheon Information and Space (RI&S); Director, Software Engineering for Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS); and Director, Software Engineering for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS).  He was also an Engineering Fellow in IDS and worked in leadership roles on numerous strategic captures.  Hatton holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Cornell University.
