Bernard Dion is an Ansys Fellow and Chief Technologist for Systems and Embedded Software. He currently leads the creation of the Ansys Digital Engineering Methodology based on SysML v2. He is also leading the effort to develop the Ansys autonomy toolchain for aeronautics, and he participates in the creation of the SAE AS6983 standard to regulate the introduction of AI/ML in aeronautics embedded software. He has been the secretary for the creation of the RTCA DO-330 standard regulating tool qualification for embedded software in aviation (2005-2011). He co-founded Esterel Technologies in 2000, a part of ANSYS Inc. since 2012. He has been a Professor in Systems and Software Engineering for more than 10 years. Bernard holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France), a M.Sc. and Ph. D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He is a member of INCOSE.
