Dr. Garrett Sargent has been working Open Architecture (OA) and MBSE efforts since 2017, mainly supporting the SOSA Consortium. As part of the SOSA Consortium, Dr. Sargent leads the Architecture Modeling Subcommittee with a focus on MBSE approaches for modeling the SOSA Technical Standard, as well as the Interaction Subcommittee with a focus on data exchanges between hardware and software components. In addition, Dr. Sargent has unique qualifications in MBSE that includes multiple modeling approaches, such as SysML and the Open Universal Domain Descriptive Language (UDDL). Altogether, Dr. Sargent has familiarity with many Air Force efforts through his work with the ASE Group within the AFLCMC.
