Colonel Tim Fuhrman is the former Senior Materiel Leader, Adaptive Weapons Division, Armament Directorate, Eglin AFB, Florida. During this time, He was responsible for leading lifecycle management activities for multiple next generation weapons from prototyping to Major Capability Acquisitions valued at $16 billion. Colonel Fuhrman led the Directorate’s initiative for shepherding in innovative ways to design/develop weapons to be more adaptable and scalable across the defense industrial base. He previously served as Senior Materiel Leader, Long Range Systems Division, Armament Directorate and as Chief, Special Programs Division, HQ AFMC A5/8Z. Colonel Fuhrman received his commission from the University of Georgia, starting off as an acquisitions manager. He earned a secondary specialty in aircraft maintenance and has held a variety of leadership positions in both acquisitions and aircraft maintenance.
