Derrick Cook is the Dev/Mods Avionics Team Lead for the US Army Utility Helicopters Project Office. He has led his team in prioritizing the use of MOSA principles to integrate sofware and hardware into the Black Hawk Helicopter. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in sofware engineering, both from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. When he is not working on avionics sofware, Derrick enjoys making people uncomfortable with terrible dad jokes. If I had to grade his dad jokes about computer programming, I would give him a solid C++.
