Peter Papadatos

Director
CoreAVI

Peter oversees the strategic direction and continuous innovation of GPU acceleration solutions and supporting frameworks, ensuring their robust deployment in mission-critical aerospace and high-reliability applications.  He leads the definition and architecture of integrated open standard graphics, compute, and autonomous product advancements that are bringing new capabilities to modern aerospace and defense platforms.

Peter is well-versed in the OpenGL and Vulkan interfaces and has extensive knowledge of DO-178 regulatory guidelines and development practices aligned with open standards defined by the Khronos Group and FACE. As former chair of the Khronos Vulkan SC Working Group, he has helped shape safety-critical graphics and GPU compute specifications.

Prior to joining Lynx Peter spent two decades architecting advanced display systems at Honeywell Aerospace. This experience cultivated deep expertise in mixed-integrity system constraints and heterogeneous computing solutions, including time and space partitioning, worst-case execution time analysis (WCET), multi-core interference, and safety monitoring mitigations. His current focus is on shaping the safety, security, functional, and performance norms essential for deterministic autonomous systems—bridging traditional DO-178 processes with forward-looking industry demands.
