Rick Rife serves as a Senior Executive Advisor on Army programs for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Global Defense Sector.
Prior to joining Booz Allen, he was the Vice President of Army and Special Operations programs for L3Harris Technologies for the past 14 years where he was responsible for driving top line growth and capturing large, multi-year opportunities. Additionally, he supported business development across multiple space programs, and served as the primary L3Harris representative to customers in the expanding Huntsville strategic market.
Prior to this role, Rick served 29 years in the U.S. Army. Brigadier General (Ret.) Rife’s career was highlighted by troop assignments in Armored Cavalry Regiments, Infantry and Armored divisions, and senior staff positions in Germany, Korea and the United States. He served in troop assignments from the platoon to division level, including Deputy Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky, which included operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also served on the Joint Staff (J5) within the War on Terrorism directorate and on the Army staff as the G8, Director of Materiel and Deputy, Program, Analysis and Evaluation where he was responsible for program management, strategic planning, and budget development.
Rick is a member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), the 101st Airborne Division Association, and the 11th ACR Blackhorse Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas, a master’s degree in business administration from Fordham University, and a master’s degree in military arts and sciences from the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). He also completed a National Security Fellowship at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and the Wharton Executive Education Program.
