Tony Garcia serves as the
Director of Munitions Technologies for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of
War for Science and Technology within the Office of the Under Secretary of War
for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) overseeing munitions science and
technology research efforts with DoW, DOE, industry, and academic partners. He
also serves as the Deputy Director of the Joint Energetics Transition Office,
responsible for coordinating and facilitating accelerated development,
qualification, and transition of energetic materials and energetic material
systems. As the primary advisor to the staff of OASW(S&T), and other
offices in OUSW(R&E), for topics related to munitions and energetics
technologies, he is responsible for developing and implementing munitions
science and technology strategy for the Office of the Secretary of War.
