Kevin Williams is responsible for the overall Systems Engineering Team technical direction, process, and product to ensure AV LMS products close customer capability gaps with reliable, cost-effective, and lethal domain dominance.

 

Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Kevin brings to AV over 20 years of Defense industry leadership experience in all areas of a program life cycle for both tactical and strategic systems to include concepts and architectures, requirements definition, system development, system modularity and interoperability, system integration and test, and risk and opportunity management for the operational usage of space, airborne, and missile systems. Kevin has led multi-disciplinary teams as a Chief Engineer for programs ranging from early conceptual tactical missile developments to strategic deterrent EMD programs. He has managed multi-supplier integrated product teams with joint service US customers.

Prior to joining AV, Kevin held many technical leadership roles including Systems Integration Lead on Lockheed Martin Space’s Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program responsible for overall AUR Integration to the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System, and as the Chief Engineer for Northrop Grumman on the Ground Based Strategic Deterrence program on the Command and Launch Team responsible for the technical execution and development of the Operational Command and Control Element. For the predominance of his career, Kevin has supported early development and prototyping of air-launch munitions for the USAF, USN, and DARPA.  He has held leadership roles across the weapon development portfolio including Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, Deputy Program Manager, SEIT Lead, and new business capture.

Kevin holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, with graduate research completed in the fields of electromagnetics, RF Systems, Antennas, and high-temperature dielectric materials.
