Ben Damonte is the Director of Software Engineering for
SNC’s Digital Technologies Group, where he leads software strategy, governance,
and cross‑program coordination across SNC’s mission‑system portfolio. He
represents SNC on the FACE Consortium Steering Committee and works closely with
teams across SNC to advance open‑architecture practices and modern software
development approaches.
He previously served as a Software Engineer, Engineering
Manager, and Chief Engineer for SNC’s Vision, Survivability, and Autonomy
product line, and has more than twenty years of experience developing and
maintaining sensor fusion, enhanced vision, and autonomous landing systems at
SNC. His work spans safety‑critical embedded software, open‑system design, and
the development of SNC’s Degraded Visual Environment solutions.
He is an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional.
He also serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the University of Nevada,
Reno’s Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
