
Ryan Scoble is Associate Director of Business Development for Collins Aerospace (Huntsville, Alabama), within the Avionics Strategic Business Unit as the primary interface for Amy Aviation Leadership. Ryan is the focal for the “voice of the customer” within a matrixes triad, which includes Program Management, Engineering, and Business Development. He is responsible for identifying customer capability gaps, developing subsequent strategies, and engagement plans. He plays a key role in influencing how Collins invests in technology roadmaps to address the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and International Foreign Military Sales (FMS) capability gaps. For Collins Aerospace, Ryan is the prime interface to the Army and FMS customers to aide in shaping how they implement MOSA across the Aviation Enterprise. In addition, Ryan’s role within Collins includes working across industry to pull in 3rd party hardware and software capabilities, providing best-in-breed solutions aligned with the implementation MOSA Strategies.
Ryan has worked at Collins Aerospace for 19 years, with previous roles as the Rotary Wing Flight Test Director for a multitude of avionic architectures across military programs and as a technical project manager for international avionics pursuits. Prior to working at Collins, Ryan spent 10 years in the United States Air Force as an avionics technician for both the EF-111 and the F-16, with multiple deployments. Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration from Ashford University in Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
In addition to his work with business development and MOSA modernization efforts, Ryan sits on the Vertical Lift Consortium (VLC) Board of Directors and serves on both the MOSA and Communications committee.
