Dr. Joyce L. Tokar is a Senior Engineering Fellow and leading expert in embedded software engineering and modular open system architectures for mission‑critical, real‑time systems. She serves as Chief Engineer for the Advanced Technologies Autonomy program and co‑leads Raytheon’s Open Systems Architecture Community of Practice. Dr. Tokar is an AIAA Associate Fellow, RTX Certified Architect, and a key contributor to industry standards including AADL, FACE™, SOSA™, Ada, and SPARK. Her career spans major technical leadership roles across MALD, JSOW, and autonomy initiatives, along with significant contributions to enterprise software safety, Agile/EVM alignment, and next‑generation open architecture avionics. She is also an active mentor and educator supporting future technical leaders across the organization.
