Mark Hadley is a Chief Cybersecurity Researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Mr. Hadley’s research and project management activities with PNNL focus on national security solutions in support of the U.S. Departments of Defense, State, Energy, and Homeland Security, and civilian infrastructure owners and operators. He is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of critical infrastructure protection and industrial control system (ICS) security. His impactful approach to security transitions concepts into capabilities in order to secure the critical infrastructures upon which missions depend.

In his 22 years at PNNL, Mr. Hadley has developed and commercialized multiple technologies to protect both legacy and modern industrial control system communication environments, transitioned secure ICS protocols into international standards, advised on and deployed cyber security technologies for civilian and government stakeholders, and worked with international stakeholders to improve their cybersecurity posture for both information and operational technology networks.
