TECHNOLOGY:
Reversible Solid Oxide Cells for Hydrogen, Synfuel, and Power Generation
AFFILIATION:
OxEon Energy, North Salt Lake, Utah, United States
TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY
Area:
Energy, Infrastructure, Climate
Tech Brief:
Reversible Solid Oxide Cells can produce power from fuel or fuel from power. Hydrogen can be generated efficiently by steam electrolysis, or syngas from CO2-Steam co-electrolysis. Hydrogen and CO2 or syngas may be converted to Sustainable Aviation Fuels over a catalyst or stored to generate power later.
