Dr. Wesley Emeneker earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas and brings over 20 years of experience spanning high-performance computing, virtualization and cloud scheduling, micro-architectural performance modeling, data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
At Battelle, his work centers on advancing system performance, resilience, and the secure integration of technologies into mission- critical environments. His career bridges academia, applied research, tech startups, and entrepreneurship. Thanks to this breadth of experience he has built deep expertise in applying advanced computing and performance analysis to national security and commercial challenges.
Dr. Emeneker has co-founded a technology venture, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and led projects that translate cutting- edge research into real-world solutions. Before joining Battelle, he served as Principal Scientist at the Maui High Performance Computing Center, where he led the Pacific Ecosystem for Cyber (PEcoC) project to develop, deploy, and integrate high-performance machine learning for defense cybersecurity. His work applying real-time machine learning to cyber operations has been recognized across the Department of Defense.
He lives in Virginia with his family and three pet ducks - and occasionally contends with Brad, a neighborhood black bear who leaves a mess in the yard every time he visits.
